Job Summary:

As the Chalet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the chalet’s operations, ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction, and managing a team of dedicated staff. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where guests feel at home while indulging in the ultimate luxury ski vacation.

Responsibilities:

Guest Experience:
- Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations to provide a personalized and memorable experience.
- Coordinate special arrangements, activities, and services to enhance guest stays.
Staff Management:
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of chalet staff, including housekeepers, chefs, and support personnel.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and employee growth.
Chalet Operations:
- Oversee all operational aspects, including housekeeping, meal service, maintenance, and general administration.
- Ensure the chalet maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate supplies and provisions are available.
Financial Management:
- Manage chalet budget, monitoring expenses, and controlling costs effectively.
- Assist with guest invoicing, payments, and financial reporting as required.
Vendor and Supplier Relations:
- Liaise with local suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Establish strong relationships to secure the best rates and quality for the chalet.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments, addressing any concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a luxury hospitality management role, preferably within a ski chalet or high-end resort.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and professional demeanor.
Strong leadership abilities, able to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively.
Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest and staff concerns with tact and discretion.
Organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in spoken and written English; additional language skills are a plus.
Familiarity with skiing and the local ski resort area is advantageous.

We are seeking a motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a Ski Chalet Server and Housekeeper. As a key member of our luxury ski chalet, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our esteemed guests during breakfast, après-ski and dinner shifts (or a combination of those). Additionally, you will ensure the chalet’s cleanliness and tidiness while guests enjoy their time on the slopes or when needed. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a picturesque mountain setting and contribute to a memorable and seamless experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

Meal Service:
- Prepare and set up the dining area for breakfast, après-ski, and dinner services.
- Greet guests warmly and assist them in a friendly, professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and recommend menu items.
- Serve meals and beverages promptly, ensuring guests’ needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and organised dining area throughout service hours.
- Address any guest inquiries or special requests with efficiency and enthusiasm.
- Provide a personalised and attentive dining experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Housekeeping:
- Conduct thorough housekeeping tasks while guests are out skiing, following established guidelines and standards.
- Clean and prepare guest rooms, common areas, and facilities to the highest level of cleanliness and presentation.
- Ensure that all linens, towels, and amenities are refreshed and replaced as needed.
- Perform regular maintenance checks to identify and report any maintenance issues or damages.
- Maintain the chalet’s cleanliness, including dusting, vacuuming, and organizing public areas.
- Handle laundry duties, including washing, folding, and ironing linens and guest clothing as required.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and serving team to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to maintain a cohesive and productive work environment.
- Support fellow team members during peak periods and work together to exceed guest expectations.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in hospitality, preferably in fine dining or luxury accommodations.
Exceptional customer service skills and a strong dedication to guest satisfaction.
Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage service techniques.
Basic bartending knowledge
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Physical ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy items as required in housekeeping duties.
