Job Summary:

As the Chalet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the chalet’s operations, ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction, and managing a team of dedicated staff. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where guests feel at home while indulging in the ultimate luxury ski vacation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Experience:
    • Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
    • Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations to provide a personalized and memorable experience.
    • Coordinate special arrangements, activities, and services to enhance guest stays.
  2. Staff Management:
    • Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of chalet staff, including housekeepers, chefs, and support personnel.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
    • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and employee growth.
  3. Chalet Operations:
    • Oversee all operational aspects, including housekeeping, meal service, maintenance, and general administration.
    • Ensure the chalet maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization.
    • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate supplies and provisions are available.
  4. Financial Management:
    • Manage chalet budget, monitoring expenses, and controlling costs effectively.
    • Assist with guest invoicing, payments, and financial reporting as required.
  5. Vendor and Supplier Relations:
    • Liaise with local suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
    • Establish strong relationships to secure the best rates and quality for the chalet.
  6. Health and Safety Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments, addressing any concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a luxury hospitality management role, preferably within a ski chalet or high-end resort.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Strong leadership abilities, able to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest and staff concerns with tact and discretion.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; additional language skills are a plus.

We are seeking a motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a Ski Chalet Server and Housekeeper. As a key member of our luxury ski chalet, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our esteemed guests during breakfast, après-ski and dinner shifts (or a combination of those). Additionally, you will ensure the chalet’s cleanliness and tidiness while guests enjoy their time on the slopes or when needed. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a picturesque mountain setting and contribute to a memorable and seamless experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  1. Meal Service:
    • Prepare and set up the dining area for breakfast, après-ski, and dinner services.
    • Greet guests warmly and assist them in a friendly, professional manner.
    • Take food and beverage orders accurately and recommend menu items.
    • Serve meals and beverages promptly, ensuring guests’ needs are met.
    • Maintain a clean and organised dining area throughout service hours.
    • Address any guest inquiries or special requests with efficiency and enthusiasm.
    • Provide a personalised and attentive dining experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  2. Housekeeping:
    • Conduct thorough housekeeping tasks while guests are out skiing, following established guidelines and standards.
    • Clean and prepare guest rooms, common areas, and facilities to the highest level of cleanliness and presentation.
    • Ensure that all linens, towels, and amenities are refreshed and replaced as needed.
    • Perform regular maintenance checks to identify and report any maintenance issues or damages.
    • Maintain the chalet’s cleanliness, including dusting, vacuuming, and organizing public areas.
    • Handle laundry duties, including washing, folding, and ironing linens and guest clothing as required.
  3. Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with the kitchen and serving team to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues to maintain a cohesive and productive work environment.
    • Support fellow team members during peak periods and work together to exceed guest expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, preferably in fine dining or luxury accommodations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a strong dedication to guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service techniques.
  • Basic bartending knowledge
